rPlus Energies has officially broken ground on Pleasant Valley Solar 2, a 125-megawatt (MW) solar facility in Ada County, Idaho. Including the recently completed 200 MW Pleasant Valley Solar 1, the first two phases of the Pleasant Valley Energy Complex will deliver 325 MW of solar power to Idaho Power’s grid and support Meta’s goal to operate its nearby data center in Kuna, ID with 100% clean and renewable energy.

“We’re proud to build on the strong partnerships we’ve developed with Idaho Power and Meta through the successful development, construction, and now operation of Pleasant Valley Solar 1,” said Luigi Resta, President and CEO of rPlus Energies. “As we break ground on Pleasant Valley Solar 2, we’re honored to continue making an impact in the Gem State.”

Construction of Pleasant Valley Solar 2, led by Sundt Construction, will create approximately 200 construction jobs and support local businesses. Financing for the project includes a $179 million construction debt facility, led by Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce New York Branch, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, and KeyBanc Capital Markets.
