    rPlus Energies, LLC (“rPlus”) is a renewable energy developer based in Salt Lake City, UT with a focus on developing, financing, constructing, owning, and operating strategically located, cost-competitive, large-scale renewable energy generation and storage projects that will support customers in achieving their clean energy goals while also contributing to the modernization of the bulk electric system.     Position Overview

    rPlus is seeking an Interconnection & Transmission Analyst/Manager. The preferred candidate is an electrical engineer with both development and construction experience, especially in WECC. This position entails the oversight and leadership of the company’s interconnection positions from beginning to end, including liaising between development, construction, and utility teams, running technical studies, and advancing a multi-gigawatt portfolio of renewable energy generation and energy storage projects to commercial operation.

    General Responsibilities

    -Lead interconnection process from request to commissioning across multiple utilities and ISOs/RTOs.

    -Oversee interconnection studies and coordinate with construction teams.

    -Work cross-functionally with origination, development, commercial, construction, and legal teams.

    -Build relationships with utility generation interconnection and transmission departments.

    -Negotiate and secure interconnection and transmission agreements in a timely and cost-effective manner.

    -Lead process for supplementary studies like transmission service requests and load requests. Coordinate with engineering/technical resources.

    -Support business development with interconnection studies and guidance.

    -Forecast and report interconnection costs and risks.

    -Provide strategic, market, commercial, and technical input on grid integration, schedules, costs, and efficient design to development, engineering, construction, and business development teams.

    -Review preliminary electrical designs, site layouts, and construction drawings to optimize system design and meet utility requirements.

    Location

    -Salt Lake City or Boise location strongly preferred (open to considering remote locations in limited circumstances and subject to experience and ability to travel)

    -Travel requirement in the range of 10-25% on average (subject to location and further discussion)

    Requirements:

    -5+ years of energy project development with emphasis on high voltage interconnection and transmission planning/operation required.

    -3+ years of direct experience in completed/commissioned “large generator” facility (as defined by NERC and FERC) interconnection and project construction strongly preferred.

    -Minimum of bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field

    -Strong knowledge of FERC and ISO-level interconnection processes required (focus on WECC preferred)

    -Working knowledge of wholesale energy markets and project development lifecycle is a bonus.

    -Strong team management and project management skills required.

    -Demonstrated excellence in organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.

    -PE license preferred.

    -AutoCAD and/or GIS software proficiency is a bonus.

    -PSSE, ASPEN, PSCAD, PSLF modeling experience is a bonus.

    Position Overview

    The Project Accountant (PA) supports the construction project team providing basic accounting, data entry, reporting and analysis. Reporting to the Controller, the PA will be responsible for tracking and reporting related to the project. The position requires an understanding and familiarity with the overall project execution process, including budgeting, cost reporting, cost control, schedule, anticipated costs, and project profitability. This will be a highly visible position with a requirement to work within all areas of the project parameters. This is a full-time position with no travel required.

    General Responsibilities

    -Interpret accounting related details of project contracts and translate them into forecasts and financial event schedules

    -Track contract event schedules throughout the project and communicate risks and chances

    -Maintain and update budget and SOV tracking

    -Forecast project cash flows, cost and revenue through life cycle of the project

    -Work closely with project managers to accurately forecast cost at completion

    -Manages project working capital financials information and draw schedules

    -Coordinate with project managers, EPC and vendors to ensure necessary vendor commitments are made

    -Review and validate project related expenses

    -Manage project requirements such as: weekly cash flow forecasts, monthly cost, labor and cash flow forecasts, and bi-monthly development project reviews

    -Prepare audit and cost cert packages for internal and external auditors

    -Close out project accounts upon project completion

    -Track tax related items to the projects

    -Capable of presenting and discussing all aspects of a project’s status with engineers, project managers and executive managers one-on-one or in a group environment

    Skill Requirements

    -Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or engineering with detailed knowledge of project contracts and change order documents

    -5+ years experience in project accounting

    -Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles

    -Construction/real estate development experience a plus

    -Strong analytic skills

    -Advanced computer and software skills

    -Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written

    -Flexible with changing priorities and willing to work as needed to meet deadlines.

    Position Overview

    The Finance Associate is a key position for the success of rPlus business strategy with a direct pathway into a Manager position. The Finance Associate will support the COO and CEO on various financial transactions and project finance related matters. The person in this role will be expected to be a highly organized problem-solver as well as innovative, independent, self-motivated with attention towards creating solid relationships and creating value for the company and its strategic investors. The position can be located outside of Salt Lake City; however, it will require a maximum of 25% travel to company offices and occasional project site locations.

    General Responsibilities

    -Works closely with finance and management team to optimize project financing structures and performs strategic and quantitative analysis to help guide project development and corporate financing efforts

    -Creates and advances various project finance deliverables including complex proforma models, sensitivity analyses and other standard deal collateral

    -Assists with management of third-party financing providers on deal collateral, due diligence and documentation

    -Attends and contributes to project meetings on project financial related matters and works with development managers to vet new project opportunities

    -Works with operations and development teams to track legislative, regulatory and market changes that impact project financing opportunities

    -Works closely with COO and CEO on other special planning and departmental projects, including but not limited to project tax abatement efforts and insurance matters

    -Other duties as needed and assigned

    Skill Requirements

    -Bachelor’s degree required, focus on energy/land management and relevant business or technical coursework in finance preferred; Master’s degree highly desired.

    -5-8 years of work experience in renewable energy development, energy finance or other equivalent experience

    -Expert level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

    -Expertise in utilizing Excel-based financial models with strong understanding of renewable energy structured and project finance

    -Strong knowledge of business fundamentals, techniques of economic analysis, and a solid understanding of wholesale electricity markets, corporate renewable energy procurement and renewable energy development

    -Exceptional written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills
